Carlos Tevez reckons Barcelona starts the favourites in the final of the European Cup because of their offensive line and if Juventus has to go anywhere close, they will have to play phenomenal Football.
Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez operate in the offensive line of Barcelona making it one of the most potent in the world.
To handle the trio has proved to be immensely difficult, almost impossible, for the teams in Spain this season, but, the European final brings a different sort of pressure altogether and Juventus is a high quality team as well. So, it’s going to be a different ballgame.
However, not many would disagree with Tevez that Barca look an invincible team on paper and will have an edge going into the Saturday’s game.
Speaking in the pre match media conference, Tevez, who would be Juventus’ trump card, said, “Barcelona is probably the strongest unit going around at the moment. Their frontline is lethal and there will be absolutely no room for error against them.”
Tevez’s performance in the whole Champions League has been of high level, but, it’s important for him to keep in mind that the job is still unfinished.
The 31-year old would like to push one final time and produce a scintillating display to enable Juventus to complete the treble.
When asked about his consistency, Tevez credited the Juventus boss Allegri.
In the words of the star striker, “The manager has allowed me to go about things the way I want. There’s no pressure from his side whatsoever and that’s probably the reason, I have been able to contribute for the team more than I did the previous season.”
Tevez has 4 goals to his name in the Champions League 2014-15 so far.
